How it works
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Go to WillieChat in your WordPress admin menu.
- Log in with your WillieChat email and password.
- Select the website you want to connect.
- Done! The chat widget appears on your site immediately.
External Service
This plugin connects to the WillieChat external service to provide AI-powered live chat functionality. The following data is transmitted:
- During setup: Your email address and password are sent to the WillieChat API (
williechat.com) to authenticate your account. - On every public page: A JavaScript widget is loaded from
williechat.comto display the chat interface to your visitors. - During chat: Visitor messages are processed by the WillieChat service to generate AI responses.

Requirements
- A WillieChat account. Create a free account if you don’t have one yet.
- PHP 7.4 or higher with the OpenSSL extension (recommended for credential encryption).
Instalação
From the WordPress Plugin Directory
- Go to Plugins > Add New in your WordPress admin.
- Search for WillieChat.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
- Go to WillieChat in the admin menu and connect your account.
Manual Installation
- Download the plugin ZIP file.
- Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin in your WordPress admin.
- Upload the ZIP file and click Install Now.
- Activate the plugin and go to WillieChat in the admin menu.
