## Descrição

MediNova Clinic Manager adds the content model a medical website needs:

 * **Departments** — a custom post type with per-department details such as description,
   sub-category, abbreviation and key statistics (procedures per year, success rate).
 * **Doctors** — a custom post type with profile photo, role, department assignment,
   expertise, experience, room number, biography, qualifications, education and 
   languages.
 * **Scheduling** — weekly availability with multiple time periods per day, plus
   special-date overrides (e.g. holidays or one-off clinics).
 * **Admin tooling** — purpose-built meta boxes and doctor list columns (photo, 
   role, department, experience) for fast content management.

The plugin was built as the companion to the MediNova theme, but the post types 
and meta it registers are theme-independent: your content stays available if you
switch themes.

## Instalação

 1. Upload the `medinova` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install
    the plugin ZIP through the **Plugins  Add New** screen in WordPress.
 2. Activate the plugin through the **Plugins** screen in WordPress.
 3. Add your first department under **Departments  Add New Department**.
 4. Add doctors under **Doctors  Add New Doctor** and assign each one to a department.

## Perguntas frequentes

### Does this plugin require the MediNova theme?

No. The post types, meta fields and scheduling data are registered by the plugin
and work with any theme. The MediNova theme provides ready-made front-end templates
for them.

### Where is doctor and department data stored?

As standard WordPress custom post types and post meta, so it remains portable and
survives theme switches.

### Can a doctor have different hours on a specific date?

Yes. The “Special dates” section on the doctor edit screen overrides the weekly 
schedule for individual dates; leaving a date’s periods empty marks the doctor as
unavailable that day.

 * Prefixed the custom post type identifiers: `doctor` is now `medinova_doctor` 
   and `department` is now `medinova_department`, so they cannot collide with post
   types registered by other plugins.
 * Public URLs are unchanged (`/doctor/…`, `/department/…`) and can now be customised
   with the `medinova_core_doctor_rewrite_slug` and `medinova_core_department_rewrite_slug`
   filters.
 * Existing doctors and departments are moved to the new post types automatically
   on update.
 * Prefixed all meta box form field names and DOM ids (`medinova_doctor_*`, `medinova_department_*`)
   so they cannot clash with fields added by other plugins on the same edit screen.
