The IntelligenceBank Assets Connector lets you browse your IntelligenceBank digital asset management platform from inside WordPress and insert approved assets into your content.
Insert an asset in one of two ways:
- Public link. The asset is displayed from IntelligenceBank, so updates to the asset are reflected on your site.
- Media Library copy. The file is downloaded into your WordPress Media Library.
The connector is available:
- As the IntelligenceBank block in the block editor.
- As an IntelligenceBank tab in the WordPress media window, used by the Classic editor, featured images, the Image block’s Media Library and page builders such as Elementor.

External service
This plugin loads the IntelligenceBank connector app from ucprod.intelligencebank.com (or ucstaging.intelligencebank.com when the Staging environment is selected) in the editor, so you can sign in to IntelligenceBank and choose assets. When you insert a Media Library copy, your site downloads the file from your IntelligenceBank platform. Nothing is sent to IntelligenceBank from your site’s visitors, other than loading assets you inserted as public links.

Instalação
- Install and activate the plugin from Plugins > Add New.
- Optionally, go to Settings > IntelligenceBank to pre-fill your platform URL, turn on browser (single sign-on) login, or choose which insertion types are allowed.
- In the block editor, add the IntelligenceBank block and choose Choose asset. In the Classic editor, choose Add Media, then the IntelligenceBank tab.

Which users can insert assets?

Anyone who can edit posts can insert public links. Only users who can upload files can add Media Library copies.

My Media Library copy fails with “The download host is not in the allowed hosts list”.

WordPress only downloads files from hosts listed under Settings > IntelligenceBank > Allowed download hosts. The default covers every intelligencebank.com address. If your platform uses a custom domain, add it there.

Why does version 2.0 need WordPress 6.6?

Version 2.0 is built with WordPress’s current development tools, and the code they produce depends on a component WordPress added in version 6.6. On earlier versions the IntelligenceBank block would not load, so WordPress does not offer the update. Sites on earlier versions can keep using version 1.2.6, which continues to work.

Do I have to update to 2.0?

No. WordPress shows that an update is available, and your site stays on your current version until you choose to update (unless you have turned on auto-updates for this plugin). Sites below WordPress 6.6 are not offered 2.0 and can keep using 1.2.6.

Will my existing IntelligenceBank blocks keep working after updating to 2.0?

Yes. Content created with earlier versions opens in the editor without changes.
