This easy to use PayPal Donation Button allows you to place a PayPal donation button within your WordPress theme. Choose between 9 standard PayPal donation buttons or use your own custom button. Also PayPal Donation button, Donation Goal and Donation List history used in Page, Post and Widget with a shortcode.

PayPal Donation Button allow to Donation Goal functionality. The Amount Should Collect in period between start date to end date.

Instalação

Instalação automática

Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you don’t need to leave your web browser. To do an automatic install, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins menu and click Add New.

In the search field type “Donation Button” and click Search Plugins. Once you’ve found our plugin you can view details about it such as the the rating and description. Most importantly, of course, you can install it by simply clicking Install Now.

Manual Installation

Unzip the files and upload the folder into your plugins folder (/wp-content/plugins/) overwriting previous versions if they exist
Activate the plugin in your WordPress admin area.

configuration

Easy steps to install the plugin:

Upload “Donation Button” folder/directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
Go to Settings => Paypal Donation.

This plugin is a good start but is missing some basic features. First, it's relatively easy and simple to setup. It gives you a fundraising gauge that fills up as you get donations. I was able to setup a customized donation button easily. There are some basic functionality features missing though: 1. There are color settings missing. The plugin allows you to change the colors of some of the elements but not all the ones that need to be changable. For example, you can change one of the progress bar colors, but not the other, through a color picker on the back end. I had to do quite a bit of CSS work to get the plugin to look right. 2. You can't add donations that were given offline. If someone donates from outside of the plugin, you can't update your fundraiser progress. There is a custom post type assigned to each donation and a page that keeps track of all of your donations, you should be able to "Add" a donation through this page, just like the posts, pages or other post-types. 3. You can't edit the progress bar. Similar to #2 above, you should be able to just specify what % your fundraiser is at. 4. The developer's website is gone. I don't think this is updated anymore. Other than these issues, the plugin is simple, easy to use and works.

1) didn't find a way to configure reccuring donations 2) i set up the "default" value of donations, but visitors can't modify it to bigger or smaller

The HTML code of the widget is messed up. Tables, forms, etc. Also, the plugin applies some styling which affects the whole WP installation. For the widget I'd like to see more config options.

The PayPal Donation Plugin is easy to install and works well with my WordPress site. I also use PayPal in Commerce of several and even for selling individual items. The PayPal options are more preferable for my customers.
