Enter all possible workshop sessions on the ‘Conference -> Sessions’ screen of the WordPress admin. Name each session and specify start date/time and session length. Sessions can be nested to easily organize complex schedules (eg. a one hour session with two 30min sessions in parallel). * Setup Streams and Areas – if your conference has defined streams it’s best to define these tags first so you can apply them to workshops. You can also create new tags when entering workshops if you think of new ones later. * Enter Workshop data – Add your workshops * Display the schedule on any page of your site with the Conference Scheduler block or [conf_scheduler] shortcode. ## Perguntas frequentes ### How do I change the way the workshops look Use the WordPress Customizer to change basic display settings. For advanced customization, use Custom CSS rules – Conference Scheduler has been designed with a minimal set of CSS rules that are easy to extend. If you need help styling Conference Scheduler to match your theme, get in touch, and I’d be happy to help for a small fee. ### How are picks stored Picked workshops are stored as a cookie on the device and are thus saved between visits. I tried out every free and inexpensive ticketing system out there, and nothing was working. I needed wait listing and a few other features, like offering choices during different time slots. I contacted Shane with some suggestions on how to tweak his product so that it would work for this type of event, and he implemented my suggestions. The only products that do the same type of things as this plugin cost a fortune. Most charge a monthly fee, and would only work for large venues with huge budgets and frequent repeating events. I can't remember exactly which features are only available on the pro version, but I would absolutely recommend the upgrade if you need those features. The support is spectacular and the plugin works like a charm. I would especially recommend this plugin if you are organizing a conference for a school or district. I would also recommend disabling the stars, because people don't read and they confused a lot of people who thought that clicking on the stars registered them in the sessions. Update: another successful conference and every year this plugin gains useful features. The plugin is very intuitive to use for both the end user and the webmaster. There are many options for setting up themes or tracks, keywords, and more. You can set up nested sessions and workshops inside the sessions with the workshops tagged with keywords and/or themes. This makes it easy for the website viewer to search for the sessions that they are interested in. The user can also create a personalized schedule by clicking on the stars of the workshops that they wish to attend. The "show my picks" filter then shows only the workshops that the user has selected, making the perfect personalized schedule for the web viewer. Additionally, a single click on the workshop box expands the description of the workshop. The conference scheduler plugin is a very well designed plugin that installs as well as configures easily.
